Common Problems and Fixes

This guide covers frequent issues DMs and players may encounter in SDMT, with quick solutions and troubleshooting steps.

Goal

By the end of this guide, you can:

  • quickly resolve common session, login, and map/token issues
  • help players troubleshoot connection and visibility problems

1. Players Cannot Join the Session

  • Confirm the session is live and not ended.

  • Double-check the session code for typos.

  • Make sure the player is using the correct login flow.

  • Ask the player to refresh or try a different browser if issues persist.

2. Player Cannot See a Token or Map

  • Check if the token is hidden, fogged, or on a different map.

  • Confirm the player is in the correct session and map view.

  • Use the token sidebar to adjust visibility.

3. Initiative or Map Not Updating

  • Refresh the browser to sync the latest state.

  • Check your internet connection.

  • If using multiple devices, ensure only one is controlling the session.

4. Login or Account Issues

  • Use the password reset option if you cannot log in.

  • Make sure your email is correct and verified.

  • Contact support if you are locked out after multiple attempts.
