Initiative Tab

Use the Initiative tab to run turn order and apply combat-side updates quickly.

When to Use

  • any time combat is running in rounds and turns
  • encounters that need bulk HP/effect updates
  • sessions where you need a clear, auditable turn sequence

When Not to Use

  • narrative scenes without ordered turns
  • long-term campaign scheduling or date planning
  • map planning that does not involve active combat state

Core Controls

  • Start Combat
  • End Combat
  • Previous Turn
  • Next Turn
  • Next Round
  • Reset to Round 1
  • Activity Log

Entry Management

  • Add PC
  • Add All Active PCs
  • Add NPC/Monster
  • optional same-initiative mode for grouped enemies
  • clear all entries
  • sort by initiative

Inline Editing

Per-row updates include:

  • initiative score
  • current/max HP
  • AC
  • active effects
  • notes

Bulk Operations

  • bulk damage or healing
  • save-for-half toggle behavior
  • bulk effects with duration
  • undo last bulk action

Mid-Combat Additions

When combat is already running, you can insert new entries while preserving turn integrity.

Common Workflow

  1. Add PCs and encounter NPCs.
  2. Sort and start combat.
  3. Advance turns using next/previous controls.
  4. Use bulk actions for area spells and conditions.
